Raspberry Pi 1
The Raspberry Pi 1 series includes Model A+ and Model B+, both based on the Broadcom BCM2835 SoC with a single-core ARM11 processor running at 700MHz. These boards represent the first generation of Raspberry Pi devices, designed for basic computing and embedded applications.
The Model A+ is a compact, lower-power variant with reduced I/O, typically featuring 256MB or 512MB RAM and a single USB port, without Ethernet connectivity.
The Model B+ improves on earlier designs with 512MB RAM, additional USB ports (4 total), Ethernet support, better power management, and a redesigned layout including a 40-pin GPIO header and microSD storage.
Both variants share the same core architecture but differ in connectivity and expandability, with the B+ being more suitable for general-purpose use and the A+ optimized for low-power and compact deployments.
