Refund policy

At Buildabot, we stand behind the quality of our educational kits and electronic components. If you experience an issue with your purchase, we are here to make it right subject to the conditions detailed below.

1. Return Window
You may request a return or exchange within 7 calendar days from the official date of delivery. Requests submitted after this strict 7-day window cannot be accepted unless the product carries a manufacturing defect covered under an extended warranty tier.

2. Eligible Return Conditions
To qualify for a valid return, items must meet all of the following criteria:
- Returned in original, unused condition with all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and structural components completely intact.
- Free from any physical damage caused by customer misuse, improper assembly, incorrect circuit wiring, or electrostatic discharge (ESD).
- Accompanied by the original order number and clear proof of purchase.
- The item must be Defective on Arrival (DOA) or substantially different from what was described on the product page.

3. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are excluded from returns:
- Consumable hardware components (e.g., loose hookup wires, jumper cables, opened breadboards, or 3D printing filament strands) once the primary packaging is opened.
- Digital downloads, software access tools, or virtual license keys.
- Items modified, soldered, or altered by the user.

4. How to Initiate a Return
1. Email contact@buildabot.in or send a WhatsApp message to +91 73894 86551 within 7 days of delivery.
2. Provide your order number, the specific product name, a description of the issue, and clear photos or a short video clip demonstrating the defect.
3. Our technical team will review the claim within 2 business days. Approved claims will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) along with return shipping coordinates.
4. Pack the item securely. The customer handles return transit costs unless the item arrived fundamentally defective or was sent incorrectly by our warehouse.

5. Refund Processing Timelines
- Online Payments (UPI, Cards, Net Banking): Once the package is received and passes inspection at our facility, refunds are credited back to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
- Cash on Delivery (COD): Eligible COD refunds will be issued via bank transfer (NEFT/UPI) or store credit within 7–10 business days.
- All eligible refunds are fully GST-inclusive. Original outbound shipping charges paid at checkout are non-refundable unless the return is due to an internal shipment error.
